Rhéa Console table

In reference to Greek mythology, Rhea is the personification of natural forces, goddess of the earth and animals, she was represented living in the depths of the woods, in the mountains. The structure of the legs is made of natural varnished oak. The top is in open pore travertine, with 2 layers of a waterproofing agent, the edge of the top remains raw (unpolished). The travertine top (limestone rock) has small cavities, enabling to feel a grained and irregular texture to the touch. Its colour reflects light. Travertine is worked and re-cut to form the shape of a leaf.
