CONCEPTION : although it might be evocative of certain metal modular systems from the office world, Dita clearly distances itself from these in a number of ways: its lacquered panels are in wood rather than sheet metal; its discreet profiled uprights with their sophisticated finish are perfectly placed, cast and not part of the structure; a matching handle which is light and beautifully designed; and its small, slim feet which continue the line of the structure in a very natural way. The new shelving unit, at H 189 cm the same height as the storage column, has shelves in a choice of 16 finishes: grey smoked glass, satin white/argile/perle lacquer, plus the 12 'to-order' lacquer colours (beige, brick, chocolate, make-up, moutarde, sage, black, lead, night blue, mahogany brown, copper, platinum grey). The 4-drawer chest is composed of 3 identical drawers topped with a narrower upper drawer. The 6-drawer chest is composed of 5 identical drawers topped with a nattower upper drawer. The bench/TV unit is available in 2 versions, either with a cushion or with a lacquered top. It comprises 2 flap doors with 2 lower glass shelves (could be used as hallway storage). The cushion in high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam 53 kg/m3 – 6.3 kPa is covered in Steelcut trio 3 (choice of 53 colours).
